Johnnie's Cottage

Johnnie's Cottage

A cosy cottage in The Yorkshire Dales for just the two of you…

Johnnie's Cottage, once forming part of Bainbridge’s old village stores, is now a cosy single bedroomed holiday let commanding an enviable position in the village with views over the village green to the open dale beyond.
The cottage provides visitors to Wensleydale with a high level of comfort, presentation, cleanliness and convenience at all times and sees many returning guests.
The cottage has an open-plan area downstairs with a well equipped kitchen area at one end and dining and lounge area at the other. Upstairs is a large bathroom with a walk in shower, full sized bath, WC and wash basin. Adjacent is a double bedroom with painted oak framed bedstead with high quality and comfort Hypnos mattress. The cottage offers free high speed fibre WiFi.
Outside there is a secure shed for bikes & table and chairs to watch the world go by.
Johnnies Cottage is non smoking and regretfully, does not take dogs.

A great base to enjoy & explore the Dales…

Bainbridge lies peacefully in Wensleydale above the rivers Bain and Ure and between the busy market towns of Hawes and Leyburn to the East.
The village provides an excellent base to access all that the beautiful Yorkshire Dales have to offer and benefits from the essentials of shop, pub, garage, taxi service and a great cafe just over the road from Johnnie’s Cottage.  Hawes (4 miles to the west and of Wensleydale Cheese fame), offers a broader range of facilities & attractions including an informative visitor centre.
Whether you are looking to enjoy local walks in the immediate area or further afield, to cycle (on road or off), to fish, tour and enjoy the spectacular scenery and attractions of the dales and sample some great cuisine and local ales - you will find Bainbridge to be an excellent base.

How to find Johnnie's Cottage

Overlooking the village green and facing the Rose & Crown pub at the opposite end of the village, Johnnies Cottage sits at the east end of Bainbridge on the A684 between the Wensleydale towns of Hawes to the West (4 miles) and Leyburn to the east (13 miles).

The stone built semi detached cottage is clearly named on the front and located close to the bridge over the River Bain and opposite the Corn Mill Cafe.
